Hedychium ‘Adella’ is a personally created hybrid that produces bright orange flowers with hot pink highlights. In flower, the spikes create a grand display atop its 6’ stems. With time Adella will develop into large, impressive clumps making it a great screening accent for the tropical garden.

Like most ginger relative Hedychiums are herbaceous perennials that are native to tropical areas of Asia. They are tender to frost and freezes and are best grown in zones 9 & 10. In temperate areas pot them in large containers and give them full sun to flower. Apply fertilizers in the spring as new growth sprouts.
